@Johndoe1471424@benonwine And ps it’s not ‘luck’ I went through several application processes and interviews you just need tonne organised and persistent. I don’t get a state pension until I’m 67 so this was necessary supplement to income and avoids going down a benefits route
@Johndoe1471424@benonwine Why won’t they employ you? Is that just your assumption? I’m 62 and took retirement from a full time role and then acquired a good part time job and a second casual job. Good employers just want people with relevant experience or ability. It’s a myth the over 60’s can’t get work.
@annaroseridgway I retired early last year and I could just about survive on my pension (rent would take half) in the sense I could have food and warmth. I don’t get my state pension for another 6 years so at the age of 61 I got a good part time job and a nice casual job -so I’m now comfortable.
@Matt_Pinner I don’t care and this nonsense rage bait lack the knowledge that women’s toilets are all lockable stalls . You’d only encounter another person at the sink washing hands or putting make up on not when your pants are at your ankles so please explain where the danger is again?
David Bowie performs "Heroes" during his 2002 tour.
This is without a doubt one of his best performances.
Just look at him, at his best... laughing and joking with the audience and the band... REALLY enjoying himself!
What a wonderful gift he was to all of us.
Thank you David.
@ValentinaForUSA@elonmusk No we aren’t getting either of those things , just working harder and getting poorer whilst the ignorant and thick wealthy ones snigger over their latest social media soundbite. Buggger off and out your own country first, you know here people like to shoot little kids at school.
@OG_GeorgyB@RFenell@danwootton I’ve worked in a Cat C prison and this is how it for their own protection. They are escorted everywhere. He wouldn’t last a minute. I’ve got to say these prisoners often look very weird and behave in weird ways. He’ll be with people with their own punishment regime
@BrilliantMaps My son is working on the south coast -said on phone a couple of weeks back to me ‘2 girls were complaining about the cold here Mum today , it was bloody 11 degrees , shorts weather ‘
@mayemusk@grok You’ll probably know this but Reeve is an occupational surname
A reeve in medieval England was a manorial official, typically a peasant or villein elected by fellow villagers to manage the lord's estate and oversee agricultural labour. Was the link between the lord and workers.
@QprEver Yes after 3 elections wins 😂 Actually I quite respect him and his achievements and willingness to address inequalities . I felt safe then , I don’t now and as a woman increasing scared to step out the front door in this political climate
@AndyR543@goldwynbird@afneil you are completely right, after watching this I felt a nostalgia for the Tony Blair years and ironically maybe, the safety, and stability and certainty of our place in the world that I felt then - I certainly feel none of that now -definitely less and less safe
