Today we were exploring nonfiction with this new book by award-winning Jason Chin. By the looks on the first graders’ faces, this was a smash hit!

Our favorite day—robots! I only need to hold up a robot as I say “Today we will be—“ and the kids erupt with cheers. To be surrounded with “How do I?”, “I figured it out!” and lots of laughter is absolute joy.
