Tony Jones

School librarian by day. By night: book fanatic (prolific horror/YA book reviewer), snooker, boxing and tennis aficionado. Most of all: proud Scotsman and dad.

@Hickesy Yup me neither. Most book people have left. But still plenty of films, horror and sport here. Almost zero interaction with anyone!

A huge thank you to Tony Jones and Horror DNA for including BEWARE US FLOWERS OF THE ANNIHILATOR in their list of Hybrid Nightmares: Fiction That Crawls Into Your Head and Refuses to Leave! I'm honoured to be among such fine company.

"The story opens at noon on one day and concludes fifteen horrendous hours later, with the last few hours a savage test of endurance and survival."
Tony Jones @HorrorDNA has survived a long, arduous day in the Wyrm Valley. This is his report:

The Little Priests are crawling out of the hills. Dave Simms has now seen their full loathsomeness:
"Another winner. If someone is new to the author, this is a great entry point. It ranks on the same level as The Ritual and The Reddening"

MONUMENTAL. Publication day for my 13th horror novel. Also marking 10 years, to the month, of Ritual Limited. I started prepping Some Will Not Sleep in April 2016.

Paperback and eBook are now crawling across the earth. The audiobook will take flight imminently.

Get some.

@AMShineWriter Cool place for a book launch. Visited that shop when I was in Galway last year.

Here's another look at my 'best of 2025' Middle Grade horror roundup. There are some great Christmas presents for the 9-12 age group lurking behind the link. https://t.co/bRqGDN9C1X

COFFIN MOON is the best vampire I have read in YEARS. Keith Rosson totally nails this brilliant mid-70s set tale of brutal revenge, with a vamp so nasty it makes King's Barlow look like a teddy bear. Stunning. Here's my Horror DNA review. https://t.co/ttUjG0gc52

WEREWOLF MOVIE is sitting on ZERO Amazon reviews! I however award this bizarre & unique gem of a novella the rarely given 5/5 Horror DNA stars. Its more about aspiring late 80s musicians than werewolves, but its hypnotic, funny & a must for music lovers. https://t.co/QV5vJ16VAY

Amanda Casile's startling BROKEN TRAIL debut will put you off hiking for life. You should have gone to Disney Land girls! I got tired just reading it. @CamCatBooks

Canadian short story great @AZelenyj is back! His latest mini-collection BEWARE US FLOWERS OF THE DEVIL is a whacky intro to a guy who has written hundreds of genre bending weird tales. The review gives lots of top tips on where to start.

Ginger Nuts has left X, but we keep recommending YA. Here's an early feature on chillers & thrillers for Halloween. Some 'killer' books here! https://t.co/SD8A3XgXGm
