@SteveLaitner I so much agree with you. We designed our own e-consult form keeping in mind questions will help us in the consultation and what will meet our patients' needs. Yes we are busy but we are managing demand and providing timely access. It feels as if we're doing a better job.
@docmartin68 @dave_dlt This is why in our practice we developed our own online form accessed and submitted via our website. We kept it simple and patient centered "What would you like help with?" "How did you think we might be able to help you?". No multiple, complicated questions or algorithms.
@DurrantNichola@ONeillAlice @EmmaJacobsMK1 @DrSunainaK I do remember the joy. Using some of those insights today as I lead our clinical meeting thinking about individual and collective losses as a team throughout Covid....finishing by giving each of our team a Kinder egg...a joyful surprise!
Wow! @BolaOwolabi8 at #timeforcare "QI approach to tackling health inequalities".Thank you for this powerful and beautiful challenge. You have given me energy today.
@JennieJoyce6 "Peloton leadership- a sustainable form of leadership enables you to bring people with you on your change journey." #timeforcare This culture is so important... But so hard in practice!
"Transformation isn't a straight line of progression but about taking risks and having courage to say something different. It's a personal commitment to collaboration" @DrUrsulaM Thank you for this inspiration #timeforcare
@fhussain73 I'm so sorry to hear this. I have listened to tragic stories from my patients over the past week. Families in my ethnically deprived community are being broken by members dying too soon. Covid is leaving scars for nearly every family.
@HelenStokesLam @Dawnjacksonk@NASPTweets It was a morning of light in the midst of Covid weariness. A better story in whole person healthcare and honouring person-hood in our patients. Thank you for that glimpse of hope.
@SabenaJ @Mikeblaber @ShazzaHudson We met today to develop our GP chaplaincy service to care for the spiritual needs of our patients. It's not just at the end of life that our patients need spiritual care. We do a poor job in GP if we aren't meeting these needs. Really helpful slides.
@Dr_Ayan This week we socially distanced down the corridor so we could meet face to face as a team for the first time to celebrate all we have achieved and come through as a team this year... And we fondly remembered patients who had passed on. It felt so good....
@ShazzaHudson And they are brave enough to have courageous conversations. Shining truth, openness and humility into misunderstanding, criticism and clashes. As our teams are weary, there is a challenge for leaders to do this well.
@FairlieSusan Courageous conversations are even more important during times of change and challenge. Our team is weary- being brave and kind to each other has to remain a priority.
@drsoniaashraf Thanks Sonia for this. My patients are confused by mixed messages and rumours in the community. Struggling to get people vaccinated. Hope this will help.
@griffithsdavid And my experience also. Continuity is foundational for compassionate patient care as well as giving me satisfaction and purpose in my work. Digital triage and consulting has enhanced this over the last few months.
