Good point. LPAR is one of the few recognised partitioning methods for Oracle licensing.

@amitzil Easy to do w IBM Power servers running AIX. 2 main ways to control licensing. Dedicated LPARs, only license cores using Oracle. Or, in a Shared Processor Pool. Explanation is longer than a tweet - allows multiple VM's to share licenses where licenses limited to cores in pool.

It seems like a easy fix at the time until you are audited !
