A @SMMUSD employee abused and tortured #elementaryschool children during the 17-18 #school year. The parents filed a #lawsuit in 19. #Publicrecords confirm #SMMUSD continued to employ the employee through 2020. Sources confirm that employee remained employed through 2022...

(2) #SMMUSD incurred tens of millions of dollars in liability for completely avoidable lawsuits, (3) #elementaryschool buildings were closed and abandoned due to water damage and mold infestation, (4) tens of millions of dollars wasted on construction projects.
A jury last week ruled that the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District must pay $45 million to the family of special needs twins who were physically abused by a behavioral aid.
