What about it? You own nothing and should be happy?!
People are no longer replying, but they do know what they’re up against now.
It caused Brazilian and Mexican lawmakers to join Stop Killing Games and propose new laws.
It revealed to hundreds of millions more people what’s at stake here.
And, speaking from conversations we’re having with lawmakers in the EU and the US, it caused a backlash that will go well beyond some replies under a tweet.
I've decided to start my own movement everytime I see a PC game I'm interested in I will post this on their post
SUPPORT DRM FREE
SUPPORT OWNERSHIP
SUPPORT @GOGcom
Just a reminder for PC gamers that you do have one true ownership option that's 100% legal. GOG doesn't allow any of the DRM crap and other stuff. If you can't find a game there, it's not their fault. The publisher refused to remove DRM.
Download the offline installer of any of your games on GOG, save it to a disc and it's yours forever.
You don't need a storefront's permission to play what you bought.
To make it 200 % clear: What Sony does will affect everyone. Not just physical fans. Not just gamers. It sets a precedent for the future that every company can get away with exploiting customers due to the lack of legal protection. Make EVERYONE sign this: https://t.co/ZJGO46mfuU

“A disc is a game you actually own." More than 200,000 people have signed a petition urging Sony to keep physical game discs.
On July 1, Sony announced it will stop producing discs for new releases by January 2028, saying more players are choosing digital downloads.
The petition comes from Jade Pearce, CEO of Canadian independent video game retailer @PNPGames. Pearce argues that ending physical games would take away players' ability to truly own the games they buy while putting retailers, distributors, and manufacturers that rely on physical media at risk.

What we, as customers, can do to financially impact Sony/PlayStation and encourage them to change their decision.
We have to fight to make sure physical games continue to be produced after 2028!
A digital-only future is not the right path for gaming!

According to Sony and many publishers, you don’t own your disc, you never did. Their terms can still restrict access or revoke licenses.
That’s why we fight for consumer law: physical media was one of the last limits on this control.
You will own nothing and be happy.
Physical games have always been more than just a format to us — they are history you can hold in your hands.
For nearly 40 years, VGP has been part of that history. From the early days of gaming through generations of consoles and changing industry trends, we’ve remained committed to one simple idea: that physical games deserve to be preserved, shared, and enjoyed long after their initial release window has passed.
Over the years, that mission has evolved into something we are especially proud of — helping bring hard-to-find and out-of-print titles back into circulation so new and returning players alike can experience them. Whether it’s reprinting rare games, supporting collectors, or making overlooked titles accessible again, we’ve always believed that great games shouldn’t disappear just because time moves forward.
As the industry continues to evolve toward digital-first distribution, we recognize that change is inevitable. But we also believe that physical games continue to hold a unique place in the hearts of players around the world — as collectibles, as cultural artifacts, and as an experience that digital alone cannot fully replace.
Whatever the future holds, VGP remains deeply committed to supporting physical gaming for as long as there is demand and passion for it. We will continue doing what we’ve always done: preserving games, serving collectors, and ensuring that physical media remains part of the gaming landscape for generations to come.
We don’t see physical games as something fading away — we see them as something worth preserving.
And we intend to keep doing exactly that.
— The VGP Team
DIA Y NOCHE.

Never EVER forget what the ESA attempted to pull.
ANY time the ever say something, remind them of the stunt they tried.
They should be humiliated forever for ever trying to control how we connect with our friends in gaming.
