My honest opinion on The Life of a Showgirl
Y'all gonna be mad at me again but the album was disappointing. everything was fine until track 4. Track 5 is a skip, and the entire second half is mid except Wood. The album sound didn't really match its aesthetic and the way it was promoted as "dance". It was just another alt pop album, a combination of Midnights and TTPD. Sounds like Jack Antonoff just without the synths. Unfortunately Max Martin didn't do much as expected. The album lacks the energy of 1989 and Reputation i was hoping for. The only standout tracks are The fate of Ophelia and Opalite.
Tonight all these lives converge here
The mosaics of laughter and cocktails of tears
Where fraternal souls sing identical things
And it’s beautiful
It’s rapturous.
It is frightening.

I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right. A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait.
If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain...
The Life of a Showgirl is out now.

MANIFESTING A GREAT SEPTEMBER ✨
NASA shared a dazzling image of a star-forming region called NGC 346, which is located about 200,000 light-years from Earth.
NGC 346 houses thousands of young and newborn stars, according to the space agency.
"The most massive stars in the cluster create powerful winds and produce intense radiation, sculpting the region into an enchanted landscape as seen in this image from Chandra and NASA Hubble," NASA wrote. (Instagram/NASA Chandra X-ray Observatory)
