— At least that isn't a headache for me—or for you either, I suppose. Sometimes I envy the fact that you have such control over your drinking; other Soul Reapers likely envy your control, too. —
— So you're not like that anymore? I'm only asking this because it's not about testing, but just to confirm. —
If Rangiku really does have a higher alcohol tolerance, Hitsugaya could relax a bit more about it. Or at least try...
— And you don't end up feeling sick from drinking so much? Or are you already used to it and don't develop any problems with alcohol? —
Even Soul Reapers can get drunk like humans, but if Matsumoto's Reiatsu is really high, then it's not a problem.
— You're saying that as if it's an advantage to forget what happened yesterday... Which I don't exactly see as an advantage... —
At least that's how Hitsugaya understood what Rangiku said.
— Good thing I don't drink something like that. —
— Sometimes I think you should drink in moderation, so you can avoid a terrible hangover in the morning. —
This might help her stay focused on her work, but Hitsugaya fears that won't happen, knowing his lieutenant very well.
— And I hope it stays that way. Just as I know you appreciate the way I make you happy, even though sometimes I need to be a little strict when you fall asleep at work. —
— I appreciate you saying that, truly... Because if there's one person who can leave me speechless, it's precisely you. Sometimes I don't even know how to respond to you... —
— Did I say something I shouldn't have? —
The captain himself seemed surprised by what he said, a slight red blush also visible.
— I was just trying to be honest, because you're unique to me. —
— You really did it... Although I figured that at some point I'd end up liking you this way. —
What he was saying wasn't that he foresaw he would like Rangiku.
— You were determined to win me over, and I like that about you, Rangiku. —
A blush spread across Hitsugaya's face when Rangiku said that, making him look slightly away.
— W-W-Well... Of course I care about Hinamori, truly. But you managed to win me over in a way that made me feel the same way you do, and quickly too. —
"Yeah you're right since Issin was our captain before i guess fate brought us together don't ya think."
She smiles at the thought.
"And here I thought you loved Momo."
— Even more so if I hadn't excelled throughout my training and had the chance to join Squad 10. Maybe it wasn't luck, but simply an opportunity I couldn't refuse. —
He let out a laugh, seeming genuinely pleased to have Rangiku as his lieutenant.

"I know Captain." She smiled.
"And you know i wanna spend the rest of my life with you. "
She watched the cold breath from his mouth.
"Well i wouldnt be your lieutenant if we werent suppose to be together as a team to protect the Soul Society."
— Just as I will be by your side as well, as a promise I will keep alive within me. —
A cold sigh escaped the captain, showing that he was truly pleased to have Rangiku's trust above all else.

"Yeah i mean lots of our comrades died during the war with Aizen and Yhwach." She smiled looking at Shiro.
"Yeah ill always support you Shiro no matter what."
— What you're saying makes it seem like we're immortal, even knowing we could die in dangers like Aizen or Yhwach. —
Still, what Rangiku said was true. They wouldn't age as quickly as in the human world.

She rolled her eyes. "Yes paperwork is a drag but also dealing with other captains especially Kenpachi he always wants ro fight Ichigo or someone stronger. We lost a lot of Soul Reapers in that last war."
She reached and held his hand.
-
— That's just because I'm always having to sign papers, train every Soul Reaper in Squad 10, and sometimes having to deal with another captain. And all of that overwhelms me. —

"Cough... just a scratch!"
* The Cyborg would have spun all 3 blades, proceeding with a combo of side attacks against The Shinigami. She was skilled than he thought *
"Im glad to be by your side Shiro."
She smiled seeing that smile of his as they walked through the gate to the world of the living.
Leaving the gate feeling the light breeze through her long hair as she held his hand.
"Well those bad moods you get in isn't really good Shiro."
— I appreciate you telling me that. Because I can't always believe I have a lieutenant like you by my side. —
Again, a small smile appeared on Hitsugaya's face as they continued walking, opening the gate to the world of the living.

* Being slowed down by her strikes on his back, losing one of the lightsabers. Despite the loss of a limb, he still had three blades to unleash on The Lieutenant *
"Well Captain I'm glad to be your lieutenant and lover plus friend. And you made me proud the way you took over Isshin after he left to be with his family."
She smiled.
— Just as I'm content to be your captain. Only you can make me feel like the happiest captain in the Soul Society. —
A small laugh could be heard from Hitsugaya's cold breath, but he appreciated how full of life Rangiku was to him.
