All I’m trying to do is take 90% from one Vanguard fund to another Vanguard fund.

And the remaining 10% from that Vanguard fund
To another fund and it doesn’t work.

And if it doesn’t work for me it’s not working for thousands of other people who then have to call your customer service phone number.

So annoying.

@Vanguard_Group I was just on the phone for an hour with two different customer service reps.
It got escalated to a higher level.
All I wanted to do was take $70,000 in a traditional IRA and move 90% of it into a different fund and then the remaining 10% into a money market fund.
I executed the first 90%.
Ben was told I can’t move the remaining 10% for 30 days.
I Obviously said that that is not correct.
The team leader then put me on hold for 10 minutes and said I was correct.
Still haven’t been able to move the 10%.
Telling me I have to wait until I have market closes.
In all fairness they walked me through and tried to help me but the website would not let me move to 10%.

It took my wife and me 23 years and basically every extra dollar we could find to get there.

You’d think that would finally mean the house was ours.

Except the property tax bill is now $10,700 a year.

Then there’s the 31% we paid in income taxes this year.

Sales tax on everything we buy.

Gas taxes every time we fill up the car.

So after spending 23 years paying off the house, what exactly changed?

We stopped sending money to the bank.

Now we send it to everyone else.

THE MORTGAGE IS PAID.

THE HOUSE ISN’T FREE.

And that’s the part that gets people asking whether you can really say you own something when failing to keep paying taxes can ultimately put it at risk.

At the gym tonight, there just so happened to be about 8 high school guys in the sauna.

The entire 15 minutes I was in there with them, the entire conversation was about Kalshi, Draftkings, and how the entire school is hooked.

How they get gambling tips from TikTok, what kids are losing the most, who is taking the most money from their parents to gamble, how they sneak their parents identity to get around age limits, etc...

Not to sound like that guy looking down on the younger generation but I had no idea how bad the online gambling situation was.

This isn't the first time either. Anytime I'm around high school kids, all they talk about is sports and gambling.

These online platforms really have that generation hooked and it's not going to lead to a good outcome.

His name is Michael Self.

For 14 years, he ran the Kroger on North Decatur Road in DeKalb County.

On the morning of Saturday, May 24th, 2025, around 8:20 a.m., masked shoplifters walked out of his store.

An elderly employee followed them outside.

Cellphone video shows what happened next. The masked suspects swung a bag of paper towels at her.

Then they SHOVED her.

Michael ran out to help her.

"I literally just wanted to draw the tension away from my associates, get them to stop and everybody just be done," he said.

"As I got away from that door, someone hit me in the back of the head with something."

The video shows him on the ground.

He left Emory University Hospital with a concussion and staples in his head.

AND IT GETS WORSE.

Three days later, Kroger fired him.

Yes, after fourteen years a father of three was TERMINATED FROM HIS JOB for trying to protect an elderly woman.

The reason?

"He violated the company's shoplifting policy."

The termination letter, Michael says, accused HIM of starting the fight.

"I didn't even get to talk to the people that decided to fire me," he said.

So the rule is: watch the elderly cashier get shoved in the parking lot.

Do nothing to help her.
Keep your job.

Step in? You're the problem and you're fired

OH, and the Black men in the masks?

DeKalb County police say the case is "still open."

No names.
No descriptions.
No arrests.
AFTER 16 months.

They beat an old woman, cracked a man's skull open, and walked away with paper towels and their freedom.

The only person who has faced any consequence for what happened in that parking lot is the man who tried to stop it.

Michael is finally telling his side of the story because he is still fighting to clear his name and still looking for work.
