@SOSCSAorg @antifaoperative @SBCExecComm I mentioned the Independent Fundamental Baptist in another reply. There’s so much abuse within that system as well. There are too many denominations and divisions, but keeping all of their names in the conversation helps, I think.

@SOSCSAorg @antifaoperative @SBCExecComm This was a Missionary Baptist Church.Not associated with the SBC. It is part of the Baptist Missionary Association (BMA). A small Baptist organization that is more fundamental than the SBC.Don’t get me wrong, the SBC needs to do something but the BMA needs to be looked into too.

@SOSCSAorg @antifaoperative @SBCExecComm There’s also the ABA which is the American Baptist Association. Very similar to BMA but they split years ago due to missionary money differences. There’s the Independent Baptist which are all autonomous and run by their own rules. They all need to be investigated.

I’ve known this many my entire life. His reach within the Baptist Missionary Association organization is huge. All of the pastors looked up to this man. So sad and so scary.

One of the characteristics of dealing with trauma is the repetitious nature of that work. Survivors will say the same things over and over. They will be repetitious in dealing with their emotions. They will repeat their losses again and again.

Isn’t it obvious that elevating pastors to such an untouchable position is what has allowed them to continue their abuse? Calling out abuse isn’t judging…
