Tis the season for travel grumbling so countering it with good cheers. Thank you @flySEA for the smoothest entry and to the crew on @AlaskaAir AS438 for keeping us safe! Shout out FA CJ who remembered I ordered a lime packet with a Diet Coke despite serving a FULL FLIGHT! ๐
Full moon view from @AlaskaAir AS422 on 11/15/24. Mt. Rainier peeking up above the clouds. Itโs the best part about going this route when leaving Seattle than just pretty much going straight east.
Okay, if youโre in the primary running for local office, pleaaaase at least have a website or something where your stance is clear. Hard to vote for anyone when we donโt know what youโre about.
/// A Curse Broken
For 78 anxiety filled laps, Charles charged toward his dream. With 30 laps left, harried by the McLaren of Oscar Piastri behind him, he would sound like the calmest and focused champion imaginable. With 10 laps left and distance to the cars behind, he would later share about thoughts and conversations in the car with all those that werenโt with him that wouldโve been so proud. With 2 laps to go, he spoke of fighting back tears so that he could see the entry point for the turn in at Nouvelle Chicane. Anxious and careful around every turn, fearful of every unidentified and unknown rattle or pop from his car, Leclerc would drive onward. The fears were soon to be drowned out by the cacophony of a harbor full of boats sounding their horns in unified exaltation. And then, on the final lap at his home Grand Prix in the Principality of Monaco, the elusive target of his affections, we hear one of the most emotionally stirring broadcast calls I can recall from watching sports. A sense of destiny filled the entire Principality, and nary a dry eye was left.
Alex Jacques delivers an all-time commentary gem for F1TV. Itโs worth clicking on the video and listening.
โThe grandstands that he saw built as a kid growing up now rise for him! And for the first time in 93 years this fabled race is won by one of their own! Charles Leclerc wins the Monaco Grand Prix to achieve his dream!โ ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐๐
Charles Leclerc has won the Monaco Grand Prix. And yes, I cried.
And every one of the Tifosi, and every fan of motorsport, and every supporter of Il Predestinato from Monaco, the Prince of the Principality, the bright hope of the Scuderia, the honorary Italian, all echoed together:
โGrazie Ferrari, y auguri Carlo di Monte Carlo!โ The day has finally come. You are now and forever a champion of the streets of Monaco! ๐ฒ๐จ
@everytyne I MISS YOU manifesting a long layover in Singapore later this year so we can have a meal in person together WITH YOUR FAMILY โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
