On the very day we are learning that at least 30,000 Iranians were gunned down by the IRGC under cover of an internet blackout—one that is still ongoing 17 days later—the BBC homepage makes no mention of Iran at all. Nothing. There is an entire subsection devoted to Alex Pretti, a story about baboons, plenty of sport and human-interest pieces—but not a single word about what is almost certainly the worst massacre of civilians by a regime since the Rwandan Genocide in 1994.

Why are there infinitely more stories about Alex Pretti, one man, than about 30,000 murdered Iranians? Is the BBC simply racist?
