Yesterday, our MS Life Skills students returned from their Special Olympics at Hatboro-Horsham and were greeted with lots of cheers and smiles from their fellow Vikings. We are so proud of all of them!
The MS Best Buddies Program had their last meeting of the year on Friday with a Kona Ice summer send-off! Students enjoyed a cold treat, played games & said goodbye to their buddies before summer break.
This week, Middle School Health & PE teachers, Mrs. Kushner & Mrs. Pierce, came to Caley to introduce their 4th graders to the Unified Arts elective choices and process. The Cougars are getting excited for their new adventures!
On Sunday some of the UM's Best Buddies & their teachers joined in on a national movement to walk for inclusion! The Best Buddies Friendship Walk has been the leading event in raising funds & awareness for the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

April is Autism Acceptance month. Students in our Life Skills & Multiple Disabilities classes at UMAMS partnered with our library to create a display in our main hallway! They created positive affirmations for all to read, to foster inclusion & appreciation for neurodiversity!
Every year our MS Best Buddies program celebrates World Down Syndrome day (March 21st) by hosting their annual "Sock Hop". The kids come together & sing "Happy World Down Syndrome Day to You" to our students with Down Syndrome & then we celebrate these wonderful human beings!
On Friday night, our Middle School Best Buddies attended the annual Buddy Ball this year hosted by Kennett Middle School! The best buddies had a blast dancing the night away! #vikingpride
