Britain is blessed with stunning and spectacular coastlines; the Lincolnshire stretch isn’t one of them.
Nevertheless, we’ve had an enjoyable day at Skegness where I tend to come away feeling better about myself having seen some of the sights on display.

I love holidays abroad, but when the weather is good in Britain - which it has been for a fair chunk of this summer - there’s no finer place.
Yesterday, we headed up to Castleton in the Peak District and today we’ve enjoyed sunshine and sizzling temperatures at Rutland Water.

Weirdly, I’ve never been to Brighton in England.

Halkidiki peninsula in northern Greece back in July 2023, where it was 40c most days . . . but we had the luxury of nipping in the car and driving down to the beach to cool down in the evening.
Enjoy today because tomorrow never comes.
