Too long since my last walk but a day off today so here it is. Looking back to The Barbridge Inn where the last walk ended & along the canal to Nantwich & Beyond. The Middlewich arm from Barbridge Junction saved for another day #lifesbetterbywater#canallife#shropshireunioncanal
Saturday Walk (19th March) Resuming at Crows Nest Bridge (no. 113) through to Barbridge. 9+ miles and well over 20,000 steps. Lovely stop at the @LockgateCoffee near Beeston before a well earned pint at Barbridge Inn #Cheshire#ShropshireUnionCanal#Lifesbetterbywater
When my day changed I thought it was going to end up being very unproductive but luckily it was the opposite.
A copse next to the chalk stream cleared, a litter pick of the pond with tyres and trolleys removed, and two reed beds sorted.

A busy Jan delayed canal based activity plans but an excellent start to Feb with a 9.5 mile walk from the junction of Manchester Ship & Shropshire Union to Chester. Decent haul of litter but depressing it could have been much more. Pics to follow in a few days #PlasticsChallenge
First canal walk of the year today. Standard Chester to Cheshire Cat for liquid refreshment before making the return journey. About 3 dozen moorhens, 4 pieces for the #plasticschallenge and a bonus aluminum can
Make a positive difference this #NewYear by taking part in our #PlasticsChallenge 💙 Join our fight against plastic and remember to share your litter picks with us! 📸
