@POTUS really? You extend the student loan pause to ‘22 but still no help for those of us under the FFEL type programs. We were screwed in ‘08 and we are screwed again. We have paid our federal student loans the entire pandemic.
@POTUS those of us with FFEL federal student loans have gotten ZERO relief from the CARES Act. We are federal borrowers prior to 2010. Don’t leave us out again with loan forgiveness legislation. #studentloanforgiveness@JoeBiden
@DrJohnCampbell thanks for your great videos each day. I am watching from New York City. I start my day with your video and a cup of tea followed by a socially distanced workout. Thanks for all you are doing! #StayHomeSaveLives
Haven’t tweeted in months but this is moving. Every night @ 7 since last week all of us New Yorkers have been sharing our appreciation. Thank you essential workers for your bravery! And thank you @andrewcuomo for your leadership! #COVID19#newyorklockdown
Today going to the airport a Giants fan stopped me to warn me someone dressed me in an @Eagles shirt. Less offended by his ignorance about #blind people and more annoyed with his ignorance in choosing to be a Giants fan. #FlyEaglesFly#pwd
There is no tone in written text. It’s just words on the screen. If you read a tone know that it is a hallucination. Sometimes that hallucination is accurate and a lot of times it’s not. If you get a message that is upsetting read it in a different voice tone. #ThursdayThoughts
This week a popular radio show had a segment about how blind people are not able to care for children. These false assumptions are dangerous as they can result in #blind parents being unfairly targeted by CPS, which sadly happens #discrimination
This will ruffle feathers but sorry parents your kids with #VisualImpairment are not warriors. This language “others” your child and assigns an identity they didn’t ask for. The label helps you but hurts your kids and the community. #Ableism#blind
Heading out for dim sum and then to the Pride parade here in NYC. To all of my LGBTQ friends happy Pride and know y'all have allies who love you. 🏳️🌈💜 #PrideNYC
@BlondeHistorian My all time favorite was from my school years.
End of the year event-
Principal: Congratulations on your grades
Me: Thanks
Her: You do so well, I almost forget you're disabled
Me: (gives her a look)
Her: Oh I'm sorry I meant, "differently abled"
Me: 😒
Taking the day off from #lifting annoying minor shoulder injury just won't give up lol. It was really nice though to sleep in this morning and rest days are important. #ThursdayFeelings
@JC12209 It's really frustrating when we have to change the schedule. I've had on and off shoulder impingements but it was doing so good for so long. Sigh... At least tomorrow is squat day so I should be fine :)
