Many lgbt people seem to come from troubled backgrounds, it’s those unresolved issues that make them so depressed, not their gender.

@KinaMagica Dysphoria doesn’t get cured by transitioning, it only distracts from the symptoms caused by dysphoria.

The moment you detransition, symptoms of dysphoria come back, hence why transitioning is not considered a cure.

Dysphoria still exists post transition, not the symptoms.

I learned that I don’t have to act a certain way despite my gender, which helped me grow out of dysphoria.

As a person who went through dysphoria, I didn’t grow up believing in sexist stereotypes of societal gender expectations, so Dysphoria dissipated for me much quicker.

Reminder: Transitioning only distracts from the symptoms of dysphoria, not cure it.

It’s like taking pain meds for an infection, you’re numbing the pain, but it doesn’t get rid of the infection.
