When I was early on in my music journey, after being rained by consistent praise about it, Cam Steady said “hey man. Your rapping is not good. Focus on your singing more”

On the surface, this seems like a passing comment I could’ve ignored, but it taught me to surround myself with people who would genuinely constructively criticize my work. People who I knew would be honest if my work wasn’t up to par. And that makes their approval all the more important.
