✝️ Today’s Gospel Reflection Reading 1: 1 Corinthians 4:1–5 Gospel: Luke 5:33–39 📖 Be Faithful, Not Focused on Being Judged Today’s readings remind us of two important truths: God is the one who truly knows our hearts, and following Christ requires a heart that is willing to be renewed. In 1 Corinthians 4:1–5, St. Paul describes Christians as “servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” A steward does not own what has been entrusted to him. He simply has the responsibility to care for it faithfully. This gives us an important lesson: God does not ask us to impress everyone. He asks us to be faithful. People may misunderstand us. They may judge our choices, our weaknesses, or even our intentions. But human judgment can never see the whole story. God sees what is hidden. He knows our motives, our struggles, our sacrifices, and the desires of our hearts. Therefore, we should not live our lives simply to receive approval from others. Live faithfully before God. 🍷 New Wine, New Wineskins In today’s Gospel, Jesus speaks about new wine and fresh wineskins. The new wine represents the new life that Christ brings. Jesus did not come simply to add something new to an old way of living. He came to transform our hearts. Sometimes we want God's blessings, but we do not want God to change us. We ask Him for a new life while holding tightly to our old habits. We ask for peace while refusing to forgive. We ask for spiritual growth while remaining comfortable in the same sins. We ask God to lead us, but we still want to control the direction. Jesus reminds us that new wine needs fresh wineskins. If we want to receive what God is doing in our lives, we must allow Him to renew our hearts, our attitudes, our priorities, and our way of living. ❤️ What Is God Saying to Us Today? Perhaps today God is asking you: “Are you more concerned about what people think of you, or about being faithful to Me?” And perhaps He is also asking: “Are you willing to let Me make your heart new?” You do not need to have everything figured out. You do not need everyone's approval. You simply need to remain faithful and allow God to work within you. The Lord sees what others cannot see. He knows your heart. And when the time comes, He will bring everything into the light. 🙏 Today’s Prayer Lord Jesus, Help me to be faithful with everything You have entrusted to me. Teach me not to live for the approval of others, but to live for You. Renew my heart and make me a fresh wineskin for Your grace. Give me the courage to let go of old habits, old fears, and anything that keeps me from following You. Help me trust Your judgment more than the judgment of people.
