The MO Chapter of IDA and bird organizations located in the heartland area are partnering to reduce light pollution problems & create bird-friendly communities
Every year, billions of birds migrate north in the spring and south in the fall. The majority of the birds fly at night, navigating using the Moon, stars and night sky. As they pass over big cities, they can become disoriented by bright artificial lights and sky glow. (1/5)
We're forecasting a huge flight of migratory birds through the central flyway tonight. Turning off your lights can help birds safely pass through the night -- especially in areas of red (🚨)! https://t.co/TnCTuNAqsc 📡🐦
