Just read this story on threads. A women in Ukraine was travelling by train and their overnight trains have two layer sleeping places they call 'shelves'.
On the top one was a teenager travelling with his mum and brother. At night he started screaming 'KABs are coming' and fell off his shelf in panic.
The night terrors Ukrainian children have are inflicted by russians.
I hate russia.

I can't stop thinking about this.

Today I saw a video of a little boy laughing after slipping on an icy path. He laughed so hard at his own fall. He looked so happy and playful.

The woman who posted it wrote: "It was our last calm New Year. This boy is no more, russia killed him. He was just two months short of his 7th birthday."

Now I just can't stop thinking about that boy. Why, why is this happening to us? Our russophobia will never be sufficient.

Senator Dick Durbin: Ukraine still hasn't received the $400 million we appropriated in last year's appropriations bill signed into law by the President.

I asked Secretary Hegseth why Pentagon is taking so long to send this critical aid to Ukraine. He didn't have a good answer.

President Trump needs to send $400 million in funds immediately.

They're desperately needed in Ukraine to stop Russian advances. Doing so will help bring President Putin to the negotiating table.

Secretary Hegseth also needs to move $200 million that we appropriated and President signed into law for Baltic Security Initiative to help frontline NATO allies prepare for Russian intimidation and retaliation.

Evacuation in Ukraine has been and remains an acute problem: every day, families leave their homes and cities due to intensifying shelling. We all occasionally-and with age, more and more often-look back on our childhood. For some, it was happier; for others, it was not as bright. Yet, everyone can recall something in a moment of sadness, while reflecting in solitude, or finding peace in nature. Many children in Ukraine will remember their childhood as a series of upheavals that caught up with them far too soon; for their fragile psyche, it is an unbearable burden. They are left with too many questions: "Why us? Why now? And why did the russians come here and hate us so much?"

There will be too many of these "Mom, why," and the answers will only come with age. How do you explain to a child what "war" is? Something that they previously saw only in movies as a form of entertainment, viewed from the safety and comfort of home, has suddenly appeared right outside their window. Explosions sound ever clearer, closer to home, and there is no point in replacing the windows anymore-they are destroyed too often. A child simply packs their small suitcase, packing away their childhood, and along with it, the memories of the years they have lived.

The situation is similar for elderly Ukrainians, although they certainly have more answers than children do. Yet, our elderly parents, in their advanced age, become like children themselves; they require our attention, care, and words of love. In most cases, they are very stubborn, making it incredibly difficult to persuade them to leave dangerous cities and villages where war is already at the doorstep. It is important to remember that not everyone has family to turn to. For some, life has distanced them from their loved ones; for others, it is resentment or anger that keeps them apart. Evacuation is about packing a suitcase and setting off on a "journey." But this is no cruise-and this is a journey that brings no happiness.

Tusk urges Nawrocki to break his silence and stop the violence

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk publicly called on President Karol Nawrocki to stop remaining silent over the recent rise in attacks on Ukrainians. According to Tusk, politicians who excuse radical groups share responsibility for the surge in violence.

He also addressed Jarosław Kaczyński, urging him to stop calling for the creation of vigilante groups. Tusk said the attacks on Ukrainians are a manifestation of hooliganism and violent extremism that has grown bolder under political patronage.

"Anyone who beats Ukrainian women on the streets of Poland is promoting the worst kind of thinking — in Poland, Ukraine, and everywhere else in the world. We must wage a decisive fight against this violence," Tusk said.

Les exportations chinoises ont donc accéléré, les réservations de conteneurs ont suivi, et CMA CGM, le groupe marseillais devenu troisième armateur mondial, s’est retrouvé au milieu de cette panique avec la caisse grande ouverte. Au deuxième trimestre, il a transporté 6 % de marchandises supplémentaires, son chiffre d’affaires a grimpé de 19 % à 15,7 milliards de dollars, et son bénéfice est passé de 520 à 770 millions. La grande offensive tarifaire de Trump produit donc pour l’instant un résultat assez inattendu : au lieu de freiner les importations, elle les a précipitées dans les cales d’un armateur français.

Pour ne pas laisser toute la marchandise moisir devant Ormuz, CMA CGM a basculé une partie des livraisons sur des camions dans le Golfe, avec la surtaxe qui va bien pour les clients. Cette ruée finira lorsque les entrepôts américains seront pleins ou que l’inflation étranglera les achats. En attendant, Trump fabrique de l’urgence à coups de taxes, et CMA CGM transforme cette panique en bénéfices avec une efficacité presque insultante 😁
