This can't possibly be the same person can it!? Welcome to capitalism my friend. If people can't afford food, gasoline, or homes - it sure as hell isn't @RealSimpleAriel 's fault, I promise you that.
@easypeasytrade@NickSchmidt In trading, uncertainty = setups & trades that we don't have enough data behind or haven't created a playbook with enough reps to identify +EV.
Stupidity = building a playbook with data to back it up, and then oversizing, revenge trading or not trading your playbook, etc.
@RealSimpleAriel@elonmusk@SenWarren@BernieSanders Socialism is for bums who don't want to work hard, full stop. I understand that some people have way more opportunities than others, but you CAN create your own luck & opportunity. Working hard will always prevail. Elon did all of that. Warren & Sanders just sound old & bitter ๐
@TheOneLanceB โFeedback is a giftโ was a motto at Facebook/Meta during my time there. Every single performance review was filled with feedback from our colleagues & leaders to help us make the 1% daily improvements. As with many things, we have to drop the ego and accept the gift!
@EllyDtrades@traderkylec Nah, people shouldn't be trading if they are in tough spots. Trading is hard enough as it is, you don't need to add an uphill mental battle to the mix. Saving money until you can trade without pressure = ultimate goal for anyone trying to get into this game.
most frequently received question: "how do you pick your intraday S & R levels"
1. prior S/R on 30min charts
2. % of ATR
3. prior day's S/R
4. daily S/R
5. prices w/ large psych impact
Love that you mentioned this because I sleep with my AC on every night + all windows closed = chill room and silent. Is my electricity bill relatively high? Yes. Is it less than 10% of a daily stop? Also yes.
There is no substitute for this, but if I were to tell people what my bill was, I'd get ridiculed about where I live and why I don't sleep with the windows open lol.
@TheOneLanceB One of my favorite things over the years has been getting to know you away from the trading world. Your ability to build community & to always lead with good intentions is unrivaled!!

@RealSimpleAriel Lol wonderful example of people projecting because they're too lazy to accomplish great things themselves....therefore "no one else can do it"
well done brother!
I'll kick things off by piggybacking on our dinner conversation some time last summer - my "why" of getting into trading.
This might surprise a lot of people, but it was my rescue pitbull, as she got me through a lot of dark times. My goal is to use trading profits to open up my own non-profit shelter by 2030. As for now, I donate to this organization monthly, so anything helps! We have to advocate for the ones who don't have a voice.๐ถ

@TheOneLanceB Youโve been on a roll with all of the advice! Minimizing external pressures was the biggest to help me become profitable and I was able to do that by following your other points, which was living below my means & understanding there are no shortcuts. This is all pure gold! ๐
@CorleoneOffer I canโt even begin to describe how much of this all hits home, thank you for sharing this with us Stan. Sending you my deepest condolences ๐๐ป
@UCFZack@OrlandoMagic This โruleโ is obviously up to the org, but I can tell you right now, as someone who worked in the NBA for 5 years, ALL teams literally tell their season ticket holders to resale tickets in order to justify buying a whole season. About 5% of ticket holder go to all home gamesโฆ
@merrittblack As my trading journey progresses, I realized traders compliment each other when we are successful because we all know the trials and tribulations necessary to get to a point of being consistently profitable. So cliche...but everyone was in our shoes at one point of their journey.
