The EEAAO acceptance speech at SAG has turned into an incredible tribute to 94-year-old costar James Hong:

@johnmccarthyiv And be wary of thinking Hitchcock’s style is representative of the time. There are some ways we’re still catching up to that dude visually. It’s not like all movies back then looked gorgeous - some folks employ dynamic visuals more than others.

[Michael Slefinger @LilGaySnack]

@johnmccarthyiv Might be easier to spot in b&w, but it depends on the filmmaker. Always has. Watch something by Soderbergh and tell me you don’t notice light, color. Or Ang Lee - Brokeback has stunning visuals. Watched Tar last night - gorgeous use of light.

If I want to find an episode of @60Minutes from 2008, where should I look? @paramountplus only goes back as far as 2014.

@switchkosterice A little less that 3 hours. But I got there right when they opened, which was the wrong time. Get there 1/2hr before they open OR an hour or two after. The line was much shorter when I left than when I arrived.

[Michael Slefinger @LilGaySnack]

I got in line without asking if folks were waiting for the #monkeypox #vaccine. The line was full of swishy men, and the guy in front of me was wearing short shorts, a tie-dye tank top, and a string of pearls.

I knew the line would take me where I wanted to go.

Nothing will make you question your life choices like a bad sushi burp. 🍣😳☠️

1. This will be a thread of corporations that plastered their social media accounts with rainbows for Pride Month

I thanked the overworked server, tipped generously, and left the Mai Tai while avoiding all other eye contact. After a few magical, restful days on this island, I can say among other things that I loudly recommend Democracy by Joan Didion. Also, the Mai Tai at Hula's. 9/9

As I leave Oahu I have a confession: I may have made a small scene at dinner last night. I say 'may' because I didn't look around to find out. I suppose I could've been quieter. A 🧵 1/9

[Michael Slefinger @LilGaySnack]

It must've been jarring to sit near me because just six pages of this compact novel caused me to both laugh and gasp multiple times. My noisiness probably made it seem like my Mai Tai was not my first of the day, but it was. Democracy is just that good. The book, anyway. 8/9
