Lots of soldiers lost their lives and many war crimes like massacres, rapes, and the use of chemical weapons were committed. In the end, Vietnam was communist, so it was for nothing.

@dvearse @Letter_to_Jack They didn't win, but they are still to fear. The US and their ally South Korea did a lot of damage over the 20 years of war. They've killed about 2 mio Vietnamese by massacres and chemical bombs, they raped and abducted. This set Vietnam back for years.

@itsmebrittcohen @_moon667 If it was a Hollywood movie, then you might know half of the story. In the war about 2 million Vietnamese died. At least 20 massacres were committed by South Korea and SK raped and abducted many Vietnamese. Vietnam won and the whole country was taken over by communists.😉

@MarkRainycity Dito. Knowing that the US and Korea are committing war crimes like Naplm, massacres and rapes in Vietnam should have been enough to not re-elect Nixon. Poor soldiers came back and were not appreciated by their countries even though they were all sent there.
