Before I was born, my mom & dad learned I had a heart defect & needed open heart surgery. They were then told I had Down syndrome. From THAT day, people starting underestimating me, including mom's doctor. But look at me now! May 2 is my 12th birthday!

The playground at @AkronChildrens is designed to be inclusive for children of all abilities. The playground is a place for patients and their siblings to play and enjoy some fresh air. Financial donations often help fund initiatives similar to this one at our member hospitals.
