@thereisnobeth Twitter is fundamentally designed for antagonism. The algorithm itself is intentionally made to upset and engage you into a discourse against each other. It'd always be good to engage from a healthy distance if you do at all.

@ephemeropteran @TheChr0nomancer @lesbian_yearner I'd also say on Tumblr as well I notice this pattern too, even though on Tumblr my feed is a large majority tmascs and there are times I see racist behavior, I just don't see as much discussion about it. But like you said, could just be my feed being weird.

@_all_of_garden Maybe its just my experiences but I feel like I've seen punk outnumber goth pretty substantially, and I feel like goth is more popular in online groups than anywhere I see IRL. I'd agree on the fetishization of goth culture though, that could play a part.
