(If this becomes long I would have to make it into a thread) I had a realization many years ago about the whole Aisha/Layla thing and since then I never understood arguments people had about her name, when both names are in fact official, I never understood why-
@n_k_ntrtainment Regional difference is what I would believe too, but honestly? We were never given the actual reason for a change directly from Rainbow themselves, there are a lot of assumption about it online in fandom, but no official statement by the company itself
@BlueMagician01 Not English dub Studios minimizing it, but people in the fandom, it's ok if you don't like the name, but you don't have to be a jark to others if they like it
@BlueMagician01 Mostly because Winx had a lot of English dubs and the time they switched the studios for English dub is when they bought Aisha in English dub, which is not the problem, but denying the people with the name they gre up with and minimizing it, when it doesn't have to be
@HikaruHugo My dub called her Layla for first 4 seasons and first 2 movies, then, when we got Nickelodeon on the TV in 2013, they switched to Aisha and that switch is also seen in Winx Season 5 sticker album and later in other seasons and merchandise too
@enchntixstella my only problem with the stock art is, howe you can't see these seam lines on her skirt, somehow skirt is kinda different from the show:
- I'm not bothered with her names, I see visually that both names fit her and I will always know, when talking to people, which character they're talking about, no matter which name is used, I also tend to switch from one name to other one after all -
