If parents truly embraced that, the church would need far less evangelism.

“But if any provide not for his own… he hath denied the faith.”
— 1 Timothy 5:8

There is nothing more dangerous to the kingdom of darkness than a child raised on the Word of God and covered in prayer.

Our children are born into a spiritual battlefield. The enemy looks for generational patterns — bondage, addiction, anger, brokenness — anything left unguarded. But God has given parents authority to stand in the gap.

“Train up a child in the way he should go…”
— Proverbs 22:6

It doesn’t say they’ll never struggle. It says they won’t depart from what was planted. The Word lives. It breathes. It calls them back.

Those bedtime prayers matter.
The scriptures spoken over them matter.
Speaking the name of Jesus over their lives matters more than you know.

When a desperate father brought his tormented son to Jesus, everything changed (Matthew 17:15–18). And Jesus is still the same today.

Prayer is not routine — it is protection.
“He shall give His angels charge over thee…” — Psalm 91:11

Through Christ, generational chains do not get the final word.
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse…” — Galatians 3:13

Cycles can end with your children.

Never underestimate what God can do through one praying parent. A child raised under prayer may be fought, but they are not easily taken.

Let us be diligent. Let us stand in the gap. Let us cover our children in prayer.
