Today marks more than 60 days of Donald Trump’s war in Iran.
What does that mean? Trump and his administration are now in violation of the 1973 War Powers Resolution that requires Congressional approval of all hostilities and conflicts after 60 days or they must be stopped.
Trump must follow the law and end the war in Iran now!
One week ago today, we shocked the establishment and redrew the political map of New York City with a campaign relentlessly focused on the needs of working people.
Let's break it down.
Today, Republicans are using a Government Oversight committee hearing to target cities that are standing strong against unconstitutional and illegal attacks by the Trump Administration.
Our communities won’t be bullied into complying with their illegal, unconstitutional, white supremacist, authoritarian agenda.
We must do everything we can to defeat the far-right agenda of Donald Trump, MAGA Republicans, and the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 at the ballot box this November. The way we defeat this dangerous and hateful agenda is by presenting our vision of a country that is boldly inclusive, just, and equitable, where everyone’s basic needs are met.
I'm on the Insurance Committee of the 103rd General Assembly. Why does this matter to working families? Insurance companies currently charge consumers based on socioeconomic factors such as credit score, zip code, home ownership status and level of education.
We had a productive morning today, and I’m feeling energized and motivated! 💜 Thanks to @personalpacil and @ppillinoisaction for joining me in canvassing, and to my friend and colleague @normaforstaterep for knocking on doors with me!
I had the best time door knocking with my amazing volunteers. You all push me and remind me why I’m doing the work I do, and make sure I continue to stay grounded. This is community connecting with community! Looking forward to more great conversations on the doors! 💜
Congratulations @SEIU73 As a mother of a CPS student, I am happy to see union custodians back under the supervision of CPS. Privatization is not the solution. Workers deserve better work conditions and fair staffing ratios.
Thank you, Mayor Johnson, for keeping your promise & ending the use of defective ShotSpotter technology. I applaud the grassroots organizers, particularly the Black & Brown youth, whose work through the @StopShotspotter campaign made today's sound public safety decision possible.
Thank you to @peopleslobbyusa, @AFSCME & @INAaction for their official endorsement! Excited to continue doing the good work for our working families! 💪🏽
A historic gathering of @CTULocal1 and @ChiPubSchools & @ChicagosMayor’s team to start expansion of the Sustainable Community School model for a new group of schools who came with curiosity and passion for transformation that involves the breadth and depth of our communities.
Im incredibly appreciative of our volunteers for coming out this Saturday to talk to neighbors about my re-election for State Representative and Bring Chicago Home. Truly forward to some more great conversations with neighbors!💜
Thank you to @CitizenActionIL, Chicago Firefighters Union @PersonalPAC. I will continue to advance policies that align with the needs of our communities!

The @AFTunion exec council unanimously adopted a resolution that calls for a bilateral negotiated cease-fire, reaffirms our support for a two-state solution, condemns all forms of antisemitism & Islamophobia, & ensures the US remains a place where all are safe to express dissent. https://t.co/5HCYsLSMrg
