“Best school day this year!” Was a quote from one of our pupils after our venison cookery lesson. The pupils prepared & cooked everything themselves & it was delicious. Thank you to Marr Area Partnership and Lauren from Glenkilrie Larder for this opportunity. #focusing
The pupils are going home with their cooking bags filled with everything you need to make venison burgers 🍔. We’re really looking forward to hearing how they get on cooking them at home. Thanks again, Marr Area Partnership and Glenkilrie Larder.
What a great week for learning about the wind as part of our weather topic. We worked out the wind direction using bubbles, homemade windsocks and kites. #STEM#curiosity
Well done to our skiers who participated in the East & West Scotland Alpine championships. The weather was abysmal, but they still tried their best. #teamwork#skiing
Thank you to Katie & Nik from Deeside Willow for teaching us how to weave willow thistles. They will be displayed during Ballater Horticultural Festival in August. #Deesidewillow#ecoschools
We had such a lovely morning with Barbara Henderson, author of the new book “I Don’t Do Mountains!” Lots of pupils want to read her exciting adventure story set in the Cairngorms. #scottishmountaineeringpress#article31
We killed our dinosaurs off with a giant asteroid & a volcano 🌋. We’re now learning about early man. We tried building dens in the woods, we’ll work on improving them over the next few weeks. @AbshireSTEM
We are delighted to announce we have been recognised as a GOLD Rights Respecting School. Well done to all pupils, staff, parents & the wider community - it was a real team effort👏. #rightsrespectingschools
