Ya - Kerajaan Malaysia telah membayar lebih kurang RM48 bilion setakat ini untuk membayar balik hutang asal 1MDB & kos berkaitan.

1- Ini bukan hutang baru - tetapi bayaran balik untuk pinjaman asal 1MDB yang diambil sekitar RM50–55 bilion (USD 12–13 bilion) antara tahun 2009–2014.

2- Hutang ini masih belum habis - kerajaan perlu ambil masa lagi 10–15 tahun, iaitu sehingga sekitar 2039, untuk bayar baki RM5–7 bilion kepada pemegang bon & penyelesaian luar mahkamah.

3- Jadi jumlah keseluruhan beban kepada pembayar cukai akan mencecah RM50–55 bilion apabila selesai sepenuhnya.

4- Setakat ini, kerajaan berjaya memulihkan kira-kira RM28.9 bilion sahaja melalui penyelesaian dengan Goldman Sachs, AmBank, Deloitte, pelucuthakan aset DoJ, kapal mewah, barang kemas & hartanah mewah.

5- Dengan saman & kes antarabangsa yang masih berjalan, mungkin boleh dapat balik RM5–10 bilion lagi - tapi tiada jaminan semuanya dapat dikutip.

Akhirnya, rakyat Malaysia tetap perlu tanggung kerugian bersih sekurang-kurangnya RM15–20 bilion wang pembayar cukai kerana wang yang dicuri & diselewengkan tidak dapat dipulihkan sepenuhnya.

Kesan & kerosakan-
Hutang jangka panjang ini bermakna duit rakyat yang sepatutnya untuk sekolah, hospital & subsidi terpaksa dibelanjakan untuk bayar skandal lama.

Beban ini akan ditanggung anak cucu kita hingga bon terakhir dilangsaikan.
