I used to whine about the disguised curse that is human existence but now I just (tweet) about italian football. Calcio, my friends! Calcio! To forget I guess.
@27Muzza Yeah probably. It’s the most obvious choice. For both Sassuolo & Aquilani. If he fails here he will fail on his own terms because Carnevali will supply him with the players to play some fun ball.
I’m glad that i’m not supporting Juve or Milan. Big clubs struggling are always really stupid. The solutions are always so obvious. And when i was younger i used to object to people being celebrated for just doing the obvious thing. But as i’ve gotten older i’ve started to…
…realize that the main difference between smart people and dumb people are that smart people do the obvious thing while dumb people are not even capable of identifying what the obvious things are.
That it has not crossed anyone’s mind to bring Kota into the Canon media and just have Peter Stormare play him in live action is crazy to me. Such an obvious win.
And when Darth Vader thinks he has defeated Kota he ofc miraculously survives. He reapper as a blind and percieved weak old man that’s no longer a threat. But ofc that is Kota’s plan as he’s one step ahead and he manipulates Vader main disciple to turn against his sith master.
And the coaches that failed there has this big ”what if” feel about them. Carnevali would not have picked them if their potential wasn’t there. Coaches like Bucchi & Dionisi. They should have made similar strides as the rest but somehow didn’t.
Yeah Aquilani feels perfect for Torino and Petrachi in particular. Hopefully this happens. Upper & lower Serie A midtable is stacked like crazy right now. Almost every single club is doing interesting things.
If Sassuolo picks Abate to replace Grosso that will be interesting. Sassuolo is THE CLUB when it comes to launching coaches towards bigger and better things. Allegri, Pioli, Di Francesco, De Zerbi and now maybe Grosso. It’s their main contribution to the Calcio landscape.
Fun technical football that feels like a better fit in non professional environments. Football from the schoolground translated into elite football is what Toro is suppose to represent. All of their historic icons are technical wingers, attacking midfielders etc.
Last time Petrachi served as Toro’s skipper he steered them towards attacking football. It resulted in them reaching Europe and him being picked by Roma. He’s now attempting to do it again.
Which i like. The modern day perception of Toro is that they are one of the most skilled defensive sides but that is just really Ivan Juric. It’s not core to their identity at all. The true Toro way is the opposite of Juric really.
@MilanVerse Jaissle i know nothing about but like his look. Has that crazy german stare. Looks like he could play the part of a young, ambitious nazi officer in a Spielberg movie.
Boring as it may sound to some. I think Milan should pick one of Italiano, Vanoli or Palladino. For different reasons. Vanoli because he grinds out results in damn right hostile or collapsed environments. Palladino because he’s a talented short term quick fixer….
@MilanVerse I have the same take on Glasner now that i had when Roma had him on the shortlist. Quality midtable coach, but really feels like provincial Klopp to me. Would be surprised if he succeeded at top clubs. Would be a solid pick for Fiorentina.
Parma knows now what kind of players work for Cuesta. If they can bring that level of precision in the summer mercato Parma can improve from this year even if we lose a couple of important players.
Yes my jinx worked. Important in this moment to follow Udinese’s example. Create continuity and establish us in secure mid table that can threaten for a upper half finish which now should be the goal for next season.
#calciomercato
Twice in a row btw that Parma has pulled off a really decent january mercato. This year was even better than previous year were Caviglia, Nesta, Strefezza all were hit signings that worked well with Cuesta’s ideas.
