@onmywayalready @JillianMHurley @miepidybee I’m sorry you went through that. It is a frightening, & very lonely, thing. I was very sheltered & didn’t understand any of it.
In your place I would’ve been scared to turn 13. Thinking abuse + 13 = baby. Some might laugh at that, but at 10 it would have been so scary.

@JillianMHurley @miepidybee I could have been that child. I was abused by a family member from 10 - 14, started menstruating at 11 ~ now in my 50’s, and I still have nightmares about that.
My heart goes out to your mother, as well. I’m sure her kindness mattered to that little girl.

@DGComedy “Every single time life wins” - except for the women who die in childbirth, or those who will die after a miscarriage because they don’t expel all, or part of, the fetus & can’t get a d&c or d&e. The maternal mortality rate in the US is so high!
