@Jabber_splats It's mainly aesthetic but for an actual explanation, the back part is where the laser part of the cannon is built up in energy and it needs to be outside as to not overheat and implode so it needs some form of protection from the stuff it'd be aiming at

I think the reason she took so long for me to do was her original design had a very prominent helmet and I didn't want to get rid of it.
