#SYP79 is complete, we finished the sitting with training workshops, subject committee meetings, members motions and a final vote. We then had an incredible opportunity to tour the island and learn lots about Orkney’s history before heading home on the midnight ferry.✨

- We all debated Committee motions, and voted on all members and committee motions. 🗳️
- I also got the chance to catch up with the Jobs, Economy and Fair work Committee to discuss important issues surrounding strikes and workers rights. 📊

All of our MSYP’s including myself are completing our last Intercultural Youth Scotland’s Restless Native’s Anti-Racist training sessions this week. The program gave us the chance to learn more about using our knowledge to educate and challenge others. Thank you! @InterculturalYS

Happy pride month! This month gives us time to celebrate the great achievements of the community and the progress that has been made so far. However there is still work to be done, by coming together we can all be apart of the movement to ensure safety and equality for all. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Just voted for the first time today in the local Council Elections.😁 Voting is STILL open until 10pm. Please if you haven’t already get out and vote. It’s so important that as young people we have our views represented in our democracy, every vote makes a difference!!

Just completed the first Intercultural Youth Scotland’s Restless Native’s Anti-Racist training session. This gave myself and other MSYPs information on the history of colonialism and the impacts that are still felt today. Looking forward to future training with @InterculturalYS
