I just built something into my horror game that no studio lets you do:
Rate EVERY piece of the game 1 to 5 stars. Every monster. Every item. Every character. Every line of writing.
Drop your honest feedback right there in-game.
Then I use it to build the final version.
You're not playtesting. You're co-designing.

There's nothing that demonstrates higher intelligence, evolution and the capacity for growth more than a society that can argue without getting emotional or making personal attacks.
@cloud_shifter@teelokay Sure, but that's a straw man argument. I'm pretty sure everyone, even AI enthusiasts agree that putting a prompt in and then immediately copy pasting it and saying "look how artistic I am" is lazy slop and a lie.
Why do people act like that's the only way to use AI for art?
@D2OJEEVES@teelokay Also art has never been and never will be about intention. It's subjective. That's the whole point.
If intention is the only way to make art than explain why the sky is art or why a beautiful meadow of flowers is art.
@D2OJEEVES@teelokay I'll ignore the obvious inaccuracies in your evaluation of collage art and just say that by your definition, a person who intentionally puts together an image out of numerous other art works is an artist and the product is art, whether those images originally came from AI or not.
@xicaratimao It adds to it for me. It's not just an alien it is an entity that lived in space, it's from God only knows how far away and it just existed out there waiting
Bro I've worked on my videogame for over 2 years now, painstakingly designing the UI, programming every feature from scratch, writing the narrative, scored some of the music - 12-14 hours a day sometimes 7 days a week while burning my life savings.
But because I use AI to create some of the art assets, I've had literal death threats on BlueSky, I have people lined up on every platform to say some of the worst things I have ever heard anybody say to a solo developer just trying to build their dream project.
I am literally persecuted for using AI despite having put more blood, sweat and tears into this project than anything I've ever done in my entire life and that's not an exaggeration.
People have lost their ability to see nuance, they think in polar extremes, and they genuinely wish me harm, failure, and great pain because I decided to use a specific tool.
And the irony is I'm also a lifelong creative. I use these tools in extremely creative ways I don't just churn out a prompt and call it done, my process is painstaking with numerous layers, animations and VFX that aren't AI, and I draw all UI by hand in figma.
But no one cares about any of that. To the anti-AI mob I may as well be Sam Altman himself.
So yes, there are legitimate artists and creatives who work extremely hard using AI in their workflow who are persecuted unfairly and are victimized by this anti-AI mob mentality.
Today is my Birthday and the greatest gift you could give me (besides following my social media and joining the Discord) is to Wishlist SCP: Dead Letter Protocol on steam!

@DavisMTL@Microsoft Silently in the background after the update. Only noticed after connecting to public wifi and suddenly edge was opening the connection site instead of my previous default, Brave.
Dear @Microsoft: You're not sneaky, changing everyone's default browser to Edge with your last Windows update.
It's honestly pathetic. What a scummy thing to do. If a user has changed their default browser IT WAS FOR A REASON.
DO NOT MODIFY MY SETTINGS. EVER.
One of my absolute favorite creatures of all time.
Didn't know it existed until "The Ritual" which became one of my top 10 horror movies almost instantly.
@teelokay Lol ok backpedal and pretend you don't care now. Noted.
This is the general behavior of anti-AI folk.
No nuance, no care for who it affects or if it even improves anything, just blind hate spewed in any direction remotely resembling the thing you don't like.
@teelokay You realize you're the ones holding the torch and Pitchfork, right?
Or have you become so narrowly focused on "fighting AI" you can't even see what's in your own hands and the fact it's some random low class citizen you're targeting and not the billionaires & policymakers?
@teelokay It's a lot easier to burn a witch than it is to solve actual problems.
If even 10% of the people raging so hard about AI put their effort into harassing billionaires, politicians and local government instead of the lower class citizens who use it, maybe things would improve.
@teelokay Seems weird that taking existing art, photos, etc. and cutting them up to create new art has existed for quite some time as respected art, and now suddenly everyone thinks it is the work of Satan?
It's all art. Even the lazy slop is art. You hating it makes it even more art.
