@bluewdrift This perfectly describes academia, and why we have so many highly educated people who are completely useless. They spent decades studying the water and never learned how to swim.
@solo_levelingx You don't understand how algorithmic markets work. What happens when the market opens and orders flood the book? Price moves violently. What happens when a cluster of stops gets triggered above or below a key level? Price moves violently. That's market structure, not a mystery.
@Aelthemplaer First we need several years of litigation, consultants, studies and procurement reviews to make sure as many parasites as possible get paid before we can actually build the fucking bridge.
Michael Saylor is proof that anyone can become a billionaire. One of the worst investors in modern finance. Blew himself up in the dot-com crash, spent years buying Bitcoin all the way up, and is now forced to sell on the way down.
Still a motherfucking billionaire...
Starting to suspect Big Orange is behind my timeline. Every third post is someone explaining why carnivore/keto will kill me and that 2 liters of orange juice a day is the natural human diet.
The citrus-industrial complex has gone too far.
@WatcherGuru@PeterSchiff The problem with these perma-bears is that they miss most opportunities. Their followers spend years trying to time a generational crash that arrives a decade too late, if at all, and stay poor in the process.
@reatlashype "Wait for another 2008" is basically telling people to time the housing market around a once-in-a-generation collapse. Even after the ~26% crash, U.S. home prices are now ~79% above the pre-crash peak. If you can afford the house and intend to stay long term, buy it.
