Congrats to our IST Ph.D. students Jiyoung Kim, Hyejeong Lee and Lin Chu on their winning the #1st_Place_Outstanding_Research_Award in #Technology_and_Computing area in the research poster competition by #CEWiT too! Their poster focused on CS teaching from a national perspective.
It was the Information Literacy Week in #W200 last week! Students used their info lit skills to identify fake news in a breakout box activity! Thanks to ULA @GrimeMadi, who revived this activity after COVID, and all W200 AIs for running this innovative activity! #educw200#ISTAIs

Yesterday IST welcomed Professor Anderson (Associate Dean for the Office of Undergraduate and Teacher Education) and Dr. Hauswald (Superintendent of the Monroe County Community School Corporation) to class! The pair visited #educW200 and spoke about K12’s current trends & needs.
One of my previous W200 students shared a video about the topic of learning styles with me today. It is insightful! I'm planning to include this topic in my class. https://t.co/XNxh1eVEGD
@CSEduc_Matt Ha! I would be a ☹️ because I borrowed books a lot when I was in Taiwan. In fact, the inside of this library looks very similar to the library in Taiwan. I was using my phone reading the news in Taiwan in the library yesterday, for a moment I thought I went back to Taiwan. 😂
Had a fantastic experience sharing my journey as a cross-disciplinary educator with pre and in-service teachers in Taiwan. It was a great pleasure to share my humble insight on educational technology. Thank you, Drs. Yu-Liang Ting, Ya-Chen Jane Chien, and Jean E. Curran!
@laurenmschram @CSEduc_Matt I'm glad to know that you may use Scratch in your future classroom! It requires some time to design but it has great educational value for students!
