Also, @samreich, you often joke about your dad not getting your chosen career, but if it’s any consolation, you can let him know that you’re more popular among Senate staffers in Oregon than he is. 💁🏻♀️
Compelled to hop on here after many many months just to let @samreich know that he tapped into a very niche fandom with this prompt and inspired a resurgence of a very fun OR Pol tradition.
As a survivor of sexual assault and workplace harassment, I have just *two words* to say to the four men with a political ax to grind who defended the “right to abuse power” in today’s conduct hearing on Diego Hernandez…
No. Stop.
(Two words that abusers hate hearing.) #orpol
Standing up to abuses of power isn’t bullying. A responsible person in leadership must investigate reports of misconduct & if needed remove the problematic actor from the environment—standard HR practices. Don’t equate one’s poor reactions to accountability as bullying. #orpol

The MAGA folks worry that if the FBI can search Trump’s home, they could be next. But they never worry that if the police can shoot Breonna Taylor in her own home, they could shoot them dead, too.
See the disconnect?
