I cannot believe how a hospital discharged an 83 year old man who can barely walk - with no transport - lives alone - and had to pay €150 for a taxi to get home. He needs a carer etc but nothing is arranged 🤷‍♂️- yet we are housing half of Europe 🙄

I’m quite saddened but not surprised that Irish people accept this rip-off nonsense. Remember most of the cost is Green Tax, Excise Duty and VAT and add to that VAT and VRT on the cost of the car making Ireland one of the most expensive countries to drive a car. Currently in America one of the deal breakers for prospective presidential candidates is reducing fuel costs and they pay less than half for their fuel. In Ireland none of the government parties are addressing the cost of fossil fuels for fear of not complying with the Green agenda. When the winter months come soon, we will be driving more, heating and lighting our homes and are you willing to put up with another year of being the most expensive country to purchase fuel and energy. People need to stand up and demand the government do something NOW before more families go into energy poverty and have to choose between heating the home and food for their children.
