There's a small, unmistakable smile on her face. "Of course." It's a strange routine, but nonetheless she makes herself welcome in his home.
"Something is amiss." She says. "Do you happen to know something about it?" A broad question she will specify soon.
She had felt something was amiss. Her legs take her to her neighbor's doorstep, knocking on his door with a basket in hand and her head tilted down in thought...
Hmmm 💭...
There is a lot to ask and say indeed...
[She had put them both somewhere quiet, then brings out a basket containing the tea before brewing some water in the alchemical equipment she had brought along]
A stolen item? Oh my, I'm quite surprised they have not sniffed that out sooner. I suspect it may be a student...
She feels around a bit more and finds a card. Her smile widens, and gently takes the pot into her arms and opens the door.
She will grace Alhaitham and his.. friend with "leftovers" when she visits again.
She hums a song under her breath, heading inside and closes the door.
She is not at home. Having just come back from randomly roaming the forests, she comes back to her door greeted by... Oh my.
A smile blooms on her face as she crouches to feel silk on her fingers. There is soup within it—
She frowns. "I've always smelt traces of hell inside of it. I don't know how they're able to contain it and sell it and live with themselves afterwards."
"I don't think that's very practical in the land of scholars." 😕
"That is akin to just keeping around fragments of the Wild Hunt. Humans are not built to withstand it."
Sumeru is such an interesting place. But let me tell you a secret, @vultureyed. I have smelt traces of hell in those capsules they sell in the Bazaar. I am worried for those unsuspecting that would purchase them.
@vultureyed Oh my, young people surely like things to be quick now. Back in the day they preferred tension. How much time has changed...
I am quite surprised you yourself have an aversion to them, but I would assume you've read nicer work— of course you do, you are well read. (❤️)
@vultureyed That would be very pleasant indeed. Take me with you when it does happen, I am excited. (🤭)
I wonder if we find horribly written ones, the youth these days seem to like reading it for fun.
