Not a day passes where I am not amazed by Poke @interaction . This weekend my Gsuite was compromised (by a third-party phishing Google SSO). Malicious actor sent out suspicious email to my contact list. The way Poke took initiative to contain the situation was a game changer.
Nevermind finding me discount codes better than Honey for all my online purchases. Or booking my entire trip to attend @enhanced_games recently.
Thank you @marvinvonhagen & @interaction team - you are building something truly beautiful.

@StoneAdam@interaction Took initiative based on my invitation to Enhanced Games. Proactively found flights, hotel options, Sphere tickets. Provided a link for each to simply checkout and complete booking.
Got to try it. π€―
@camworboys@iankar_@DamjanStankovic We built this in South Africa years ago. Pretty standard tech. Look at GeoPay by @FNBSA (one example) - done a decade ago nearly.
@GeesusReturns@DanaFLove Itβs absolute BS, period. No other country does this. And where is treasury getting these infinite Rands to purchase BTC? What a joke.
@WitsUniversity@PresidencyZA@Wits_SCIS How can you host this, in good faith, while overlooking the key reasons for the inequality in SA - corruption, theft, lack of service delivery?
@KagisoMontoeli@CyrilRamaphosa Very fair and thank you. South Africa is beautiful and the citizens are incredible. I pray for a day when corruption is gone and the nation can thrive.
Every nation has commentary and opinions. The reality is the US is incredible. And you know the biggest difference? Mindset.
In the US, even as an immigrant, you are supported by your peers to win and succeed. Success (legitimate and not SA corruption) is celebrated. If you came here with an idea, people would help you. Period.
People also take pride in their jobs. Go to any gov office and you met with friendly, helpful staff that assist.
And daily life here is infinitely better: I can walk the beach at night and not get stabbed, I can get a license renewal in 10min helped by friendly staff (without hearing βthe system is offlineβ), there is no load shedding. The list goes on.
@SayEntrepreneur πππ Iβm South African and live on the beach in Los Angeles. Drive a Tesla (thanks @elonmusk ) and life is great. Infinitely better than SA.
Donβt believe this kak.
Years ago, I went to SAPS police station to report an incident, I got there and there was no WiFi. The station was offline - for staff and anyone needing internet while there.
I offered free Fibre internet to the station on behalf of South Africaβs No. 1 ISP - like I had done for many schools.
The response (4 months later): βNo thank you, while we understand no internet is a problem, it needs to go through a tender.β
Tender = money for friends. There is no care for what is best for the country.
