The cycle of the South African government engineering logically bankrupt policies without a shred of technical justification must come to an absolute end.
A modern economy cannot survive an administration that treats basic governance as a series of irrational, self serving calculations.

The local government system is running the risk to be dissolved and restructured sooner than we think due to the point of no return on mismanagement.
South Africa's leading civil engineers declare most municipalities are now IRREPARABLE โ "beyond the point of no return."
This means no voting or party can fix them anymore. They are functionally insolvent.
National Treasury agrees and just cut R14 BILLION in funding to 69.
The entire local government system will have to be dissolved and restructured.

We are in a chronic reactive mode in our dear county. The lack of technical expertise at local government level is that main cause of the immanent collapse of our infrastructure in SA towns and cities. Cadre deployment by the ANC led to this.

Isaiah 28:24-29 is quietly one of the most reassuring passages in scripture.
If your life feels upended, exposed, or under intense grinding pressure, you need to look at this passage through a completely different lens.
God uses the analogy of the soil and the seed to tell a story.
Verse 24 says:
โWhen a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and harrowing the soil?โ
Plowing is violent. A heavy iron blade cuts deep into the earth, ripping up whatโs comfortable, flipping everything upside down, and leaving the dirt raw and exposed.
If the soil had a voice, it would scream. โWhy are you destroying me?โ
But Isaiahโs answer is a resounding NO. The farmer does not plow forever.
Plowing is entirely preparatory. The moment the hard ground is soft enough to receive the seed, the blade stops. Your current season of disruption is not your permanent destination. The tearing has a strict boundary line.
But what is even more striking is the precision of the instrument.
โCaraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cumin; caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cumin with a stick. Grain must be ground to make bread, so one does not go on threshing it forever.โ (v.27-28)
For delicate herbs, a light stick. For grain, the threshing wheel.
This is not a clichรฉ about God giving you only what you can handle. It is something far more precise. Every soul has a specific composition, a specific vocation, and a specific harvest it was built to yield.
The severity of the instrument is calibrated to the nature of the crop and to the weight of what that crop must eventually become. The heaviness of the tool tells you something about the magnitude of the eventual thing.
Some seeds need only a shallow turning of the earth. But other seeds, the ones destined to grow deep and load-bearing, require the ground to be broken profoundly before it can support them.
People misunderstand this and it breaks them in the wrong direction.
The grain has spent its entire existence inside its husk. It knows no life apart from that shell. So when the wheel rolls over it, the grain doesn't think its capsule is being removed, it thinks it is being destroyed.
This is the central catastrophe of suffering. Not the pain itself, but the misidentification. We become so fused to our pride, our control, and the coping mechanisms we built to survive, that when they begin to crack, we experience it as annihilation. We mourn what was only ever temporary housing.
And what makes this harder to hold is that the grain does not become a purer version of itself after threshing. It becomes bread.
This is not the revelation of a pre-existing authentic self. It is a transformation into something you have never been. The Farmer is not uncovering what you were; He is making you into what you have not yet become. The shell had to go. You cannot become bread while wrapped in a husk.
Everything climaxes in verse 29:
"All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent."
A bystander looking at a plowed field sees a ruined landscape. The Farmer sees a harvest. These are two entirely different frames of reference, and only one of them knows what was planted there.
You can drop your defenses and stop fighting the process. Trust the magnificent wisdom and loving nature of the Farmer.
You are under cultivation, not condemnation. The Farmer holds the reins and His wisdom is magnificent.
How does SARS feel knowing that the taxes they collect end up being wasted & looted? Do they feel ashamed or at least recognise that they r basically thieves that steal from the people to feed the glutanous government? When will they acknowledge their role in the theivery?

"Jesus stood before Pilate so that you could stand before God, forgiven". Amen.
For centuries, skeptics pointed to Pontius Pilate as a problem. The Roman governor who condemned Jesus, named in all four Gospels, appeared nowhere in the archaeological record. No inscription, no monument, no physical trace. Some scholars suggested the Gospel writers had invented him, or at least inflated a minor figure into a Roman official who never held that office.
Then in 1961, an Italian archaeological team was excavating the ruins of an ancient theater in Caesarea Maritima, the coastal city that served as the Roman administrative capital of Judea. Reused as a step in a later structure, face down and nearly worn away, they turned over a limestone block. Carved into it was a dedication. The Latin was partly damaged, but four words survived clearly enough: Pontius Pilate, Prefect of Judea.
Consider what that block establishes. It confirms not only that Pilate existed, but that his exact title was correct. For years critics had claimed the Gospels used the wrong rank for him. The stone settled it. He was prefect, precisely as a governor of that period and province would have been. The men who wrote the Gospels knew the political structure of first-century Judea from the inside.
This is the pattern that repeats again and again. A biblical name is dismissed as legend. Time passes. The ground yields up the evidence, and the record proves accurate down to the title on an official Roman inscription.
To the world, the Gospels are pious stories, loose with facts, written long after the events by people who could not have known the details. But the stone from Caesarea bears the name of the very man who washed his hands and handed Jesus over to be crucified. He was real. The trial was real. The cross was real.
The God who preserved that testimony in stone has preserved His whole Word for you. It is trustworthy in the smallest detail. Build your life on it. Stake your soul on it. It will not fail you.
Jesus stood before Pilate so that you could stand before God, forgiven.

BEE was negotiated by the super rich elite shareholders of the big corporates, who transferred wealth to a select few corruptable ANC cadres and labour unionists. This lead to a new super rich class that gets all the spoils in South Africa.
When Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) was introduced, the goal was less about true empowerment and more about punishing the white community, a very small minority in South Africa.
In reality, genuine transformation never happened. Today, the poorest, the unemployed, the unskilled, and the uneducated are still overwhelmingly Black.
Instead of enacting policies that merely turned former trade unionists and political activists into multimillionaires and billionaires, South Africa needed sound economic strategies.
Instead, it got the BEE scam, which locked down the economy, halted production, and choked progress.
When 46 men, who are all friends and deeply connected to the ANC, receive 60% of BEE mining deals, that is not economic transformation. It is a mathematical impossibility.
If a policy exists to empower Black people, its success must be measured by how it supports the 49 million Black citizens in South Africa, not just 46 men. By definition, a policy cannot be called "broad-based" when 0.0001% of the targeted group captures nearly two thirds of the total wealth.
The broader Black community is simply being used as political cover to justify a system that enriches a tiny elite.
"Because once a nation accepts deterioration as normal, the battle is no longer against corruption, crime, failing infrastructure or incompetent governance. The battle is against the belief that nothing better is possible". Let that sink in.

South Africans keep asking how much worse things can get.
That is the wrong question.
The question is what happens when decline becomes permanent.
For more than thirty years we have adapted to failure.
When electricity failed, we adapted.
When policing failed, we adapted.
When municipalities failed, we adapted.
When water systems failed, we adapted.
When roads deteriorated, we adapted.
When corruption was exposed, we adapted.
Every crisis became another inconvenience to work around.
Every failure became another expense.
Every expense became another sacrifice.
What we call resilience today would have been considered unacceptable twenty years ago.
The danger is not the collapse of institutions.
The danger is the collapse of expectations.
South Africans no longer expect functioning municipalities.
South Africans no longer expect reliable electricity.
South Africans no longer expect effective policing.
South Africans no longer expect government accountability.
We expect failure and then congratulate ourselves for surviving it.
That is not resilience.
That is surrender disguised as resilience.
The average South African is now paying to replace functions that government was created to provide.
Private security.
Solar systems.
Generators.
Water tanks.
Boreholes.
Medical aid.
Private education.
Armed response.
Tracking systems.
Insurance products designed around government failure.
Every year more responsibility moves to the citizen.
Every year more authority remains with the state.
That is the imbalance nobody is discussing.
A citizen who spends most of his income defending himself from decline is not building a future.
He is preserving the present.
His children inherit the same burden.
Then their children inherit it again.
Eventually an entire generation grows up believing this is simply how a country operates.
That is the true danger.
Not that South Africa collapses tomorrow.
Not that there is some dramatic event on the horizon.
But that decline becomes institutionalised.
Permanent.
Accepted.
Normal.
History shows that societies rarely lose their freedoms all at once.
They lose them gradually as independence becomes more expensive and dependence becomes more necessary.
The question South Africans should be asking is not whether the country is getting worse.
The evidence already answers that.
The question is this:
At what point does survival stop being resilience and start becoming acceptance?
Because once a nation accepts deterioration as normal, the battle is no longer against corruption, crime, failing infrastructure or incompetent governance.
The battle is against the belief that nothing better is possible.
And that is the moment decline stops being temporary and becomes a way of life.

Throwing more money at it won't make difference, unless the larger part of the funds are managed by the donar countries themselves when they invest in education, health care, and physical infrastructure.
Over the past 30 years Africa has received well over $1 trillion in official development assistance. Much of it has gone to governments and projects with limited lasting impact due to corruption, weak institutions, and poor governance in many places. That's why simply handing over more cash rarely ends poverty.
Envious of Elon Musk being the only trillionaire in the world? Read this to put it into perspective. I, for one, is very proud of this man.
LET'S EDUCATE PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL NUMBERS....
The media loves headlines about @elonmusk becoming a "trillionaire."
But most people don't understand what that number actually means.
Let's break it down.
If Elon Musk is worth roughly $1 trillion on paper:
โ It does NOT mean he has $1 trillion in cash.
โ It does NOT mean he can spend $1 trillion tomorrow.
โ It does NOT mean the government could simply seize $1 trillion and spend it.
Most of that wealth exists as ownership in companies.
Think about it this way:
If your home is worth $500,000, you don't have $500,000 sitting in your bank account.
You own an asset.
The same principle applies to company shares.
Now let's compare some numbers.
THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
The U.S. federal government spends roughly $7 trillion per year.
Even if Elon somehow sold every share he owned tomorrow and turned it all into cash (which is impossible), that money would fund Washington's spending for only about 7 weeks.
Read that again.
7 weeks.
Not years.
Not decades.
7 weeks.
ELON'S 2021 TAX BILL
In 2021 Elon paid approximately $11 billion in federal taxes.
The median American household pays around $2,000-$5,000 annually in federal income taxes depending on income and family situation.
To equal Elon's $11 billion tax bill, you'd need roughly:

2.2 million households paying $5,000 each
OR

5.5 million households paying $2,000 each
That's more households than exist in many U.S. states.
JOB CREATION
Tesla employs over 120,000 people globally.
SpaceX employs more than 15,000 people.
X, xAI, Neuralink, and Musk's other companies employ thousands more.
Directly and indirectly, Musk's companies support hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Those workers pay taxes.
โ
Buy homes.
โ
Support local businesses.
โ
Raise families.
That's how wealth circulates through an economy.
WHAT ABOUT "TAX THE BILLIONAIRES"?
Let's do the math.
The U.S. national debt is now over $40 trillion.
Suppose the government somehow confiscated an entire $1 trillion fortune.
That would eliminate only about:
2.5% of the national debt.
The other 97.5% would still be there.
A spending problem cannot be solved by a one-time wealth seizure.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
America has approximately:

๐บ๐ธ A $30+ trillion economy
The reason America became the most prosperous nation in history wasn't because government bureaucrats created wealth.
It was because entrepreneurs, inventors, builders, investors, and workers created wealth.

โ๏ธ The internet.
โ๏ธ Amazon.
โ๏ธ Google.
โ๏ธ Microsoft.
โ๏ธ Tesla.
โ๏ธ SpaceX.
Most of the technologies that transformed modern life came from capitalist innovation, not socialist central planning.
Yet some politicians act like success itself is the problem.
No.
The problem isn't that America produces billionaires.
The problem is that America isn't producing enough future millionaires.
A healthy economy should create more owners, more investors, more entrepreneurs, and more opportunity.
Because every billionaire started as a millionaire.
Every millionaire started with a first dollar.
And every thriving economy starts by rewarding people who create value for others.
