A thread… RTs welcome!
I have news. September 24th sees my time at @The_Dalesman (and @CumbriaMagazine) end.
I need a fresh challenge and want to learn new things while utilising my communication skills I have picked up since I started out as a trainee journalist in 1995.
What a momentous week! Yesterday I celebrated my 60th birthday (can’t understand where the years have gone!) and today I had my COVID vaccine at Jacob’s Well in Bradford. It has been an emotional rollercoaster.
Thank you to @journalism_news for featuring @memoirs_life, the new business I have set up with my talented friend: graphic designer and author @MaryJayneBaker.

Thank you to all my former newspaper colleagues for helping to promote my new business @memoirs_life. The latest to do so are the good people at the @IlkleyGazette, where I was assistant editor for a short time.

This week, I have joined forces with designer and author Lisa Firth (aka @MaryJayneBaker) to launch LifeStories (@memoirs_life) to write and publish people’s memories. Please take a look at our website: https://t.co/Py4hOwdKHX. Exciting times.
After 40 years of hard graft, today, I find myself among the 1.6 million unemployed as my job with @The_Dalesman officially ends. Such sad times. I need to pick myself up and embrace the next chapter in my life. Wish me luck!
How lovely to be called ”the unsung heroine of Yorkshire journalism”. The final standalone edition of the wonderful @Down_Your_Way is on sale now. From November, some features will be included in @The_Dalesman https://t.co/y6xd79QoFN
