@PerBylund Streets are in many places designed to slow people down. Ideally streets (and roads) look and feel are designed to match the stated speed limit. American streets often look like you could go 50 mph while the stated speed limit is much lower, which makes them dangerous.

And before left wingers get all mad, Denmark has the equivalent of school voucher covering about 75-80% of what the public school costs, and Sweden covers 100%. So if left wing Scandinavia can, why not America?
@SociologenHD Don't mean we cannot do business with China. The problem with gas is that if they turn of the gas, then six months later when the stocks are empty, we are in big trouble.
A solar panel last decades. If China stopped exporting, we would have plenty of time to react.

@NathanielGivens Your analogy rests upon the mistaken belief (as do the drawing), that zipper merge is effecient because both lanes gets used. In itself it don't matter that both lanes are used, as they are not the bottleneck. What matters is the that the merge is as effecient as possible.

Men selvom du lavede gågaden om til biltrafik, tilføjede parkeringspladser i indre by osv., så ville de hurtigt blive fyldt ud, og bufferen ville forsvinde. Og når bufferen forsvinder, bliver systemet sårbart.

However, people use zipper merge as an excuse to pull out of their lane, pass 10 cars, and then pull in again. Just stay in your current lane, and merge at the end.
