Many blocks are organizing hyperlocal candlelit vigils tonight at 7 PM as a way to step outside and come together. I am grateful for the ways we continue to stand together and take care of each other in this challenging time.
I am outraged and angry today because again, another Minneapolis resident, Alex Pretti, was shot several times and killed by an ICE agent. In this moment, we need to channel our frustration and anger to continued peace and unity.
I'm excited to be moderating the Southwest Community Ed Public Safety Panel, featuring Emergency Management, 911/Dispatch, Fire, EMS, Police, and Neighborhood Safety.

The heatwave didn’t stop you from coming out to the latest Picnic with Palmisano! Thanks to everyone who shared an evening in community in support of my campaign and our shared vision for Minneapolis.
My thoughts are with the Hortman family and particularly their children. I also sincerely wish Senator Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, continued recovery in the wake of yesterday‘s tragedies.
The loss of Rep. Melissa Hortman is surreal & devastating. From my first venture into politics, I knew she was a leader, but I also saw her as an important role model. She was extremely hard-working & she was a mom, dedicated to improving the lives of Minnesotans & to her family.
Join me tomorrow for a Neighborhood Safety Walk along Minnehaha Creek! We'll start at the Lynnhurst Rec Center and walk from Humboldt Ave. to Lyndale Ave. and back.

We had a great turnout for the first ever 13th Ward Neighborhood Safety Walk, including 5th Precinct Inspector Christie Nelson! These walks help with city safety plans, build community, and are quite enjoyable.
