“I wanted to prove that you could develop even a very beautiful place without defiling it: in fact, if you did it well enough, you could even add to what nature had given you." — Sir Clough Williams-Ellis
Here’s the fabulous Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki @AmbJapanUK singing the Welsh national anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau (Land of my Fathers). Happy St David’s Day. 🏴
Dropping “His Majesty’s” is not simply aesthetics or style. It’s constitutional vandalism. They’re deliberately trying to get you to forget where the constitutional authority to govern comes from. #HMG#BringBackHMG
SNOWFALL 2026: Sometimes living in a coastal area has its drawbacks … woke up to a wonderful blanket of snow, all but gone in a few hours … #Llanrhos#NorthWales#Snow#snowfall2026
Remembering the 15,000 Merchant Navy sailors who died in WW1 and the 29,000 during WW2. A huge and significant effort to keep Britain supplied and fed as well as also conducting many RN tasks.
TRAFALGAR 2025: It’s that time of the year when we raise our glass to “The Immortal Memory”. Across the globe in British warships, naval establishments and diplomatic missions mark the ultimate sacrifice of Nelson in 1805. #RoyalNavy#NavalHistory#Trafalgar#Trafalgar220

Last year, thanks to the incredible team @teamedygc I was brought back from the brink, with Stage 3 Septic Shock. It was a sharp learning curve on Sepsis and its impacts. Knowing the signs and symptoms can save a life!

Do you have an heirloom plant? This Bistorta Affinis or the Himalayan bistort, a species of flowering plant native to the Himalayas was brought back from India in 1889 by William Bury Homan-Mulock JP, DL, ICS (1841-1921) and now can be found in many family members gardens!
Highly recommend “Postwar” by David Runciman on @BBCSounds - great focus on 1945 and the election that year … has made me order a biography of Clement Attlee ready for further study … great insights into what people were really thinking after VE and VJ Day!
We are at JUST TOO HOT … 31 Degrees 🥵🥵
Definition: it’s just a bit too hot. All you can do is lie down and let out moaning sounds. The fan is just blowing heat around the room. Please, someone make it stop. It’s ridiculously hot. #heatwave#wrexham#heatwaveuk
My Great Grandfather and his family had only moved to the market town in July that year. Catherine was found guilty of murder in 1938 at Ruthin Assizes and sentenced to death, although this was commuted to life in prison. The outbreak of the war saw her quietly released.
Finally found this photograph taken at Christmas 1937 and shows my Gt. Grandfather PC 71 Richard Henry Morgans on duty outside No.19 Scotland St. in #Llanrwst where on Christmas Day Catherine Williams murdered her husband, William.
