Request for referrals: Someone I know who is high risk and disabled is really going through it right now and could use a COVID-conscious therapist/counselor who takes precautions or available remotely. Ideally someone who is disabled who they can connect with. Thx!
The Data Lab (D-Lab) at @UCBerkeley is sooo helpful for coding problems!!! We just made the graph I wanted in 30 minutes flat :D
I highly recommend them for both classes and coding consultation sessions! https://t.co/ZHbPlphU6G
@Walgreens please increase staff in the SF Bay Area walgreens - especially those in oakland and berkeley.
Y'all cut staff hours for the summer & now they're overwhelmed. There was ONE pharmacist and 2 assistants all day yesterday. Wait times were between 1-2hrs!! and 2+ on phone
Black Twitter is not just a community and cultural phenomenon. It’s a language. It even has symbols from past collective experiences we can “read” and directly link to new symbols of recent events we see being created in real time.
“Why I do what I do is I’m here to change the narrative of disabled people. We are not villains. We are not helpless. We are not inspiration…Where are our TV shows? Where?”

Me, a wheelchair user, to 3 people standing & talking on curb ramp: “Can I get get down the ramp?”
Person: “Can’t you see we’re talking?”
Me: “If you stay on the ramp, I can’t cross the street.”
Person: “You can’t wait until we’re done? That’s rude.”
Seeking access is not rude.
@catgyoung Most of the folks I follow are already on here. May I recommend also following hashtags like #blackinstem to find folks. Plus, my co-founder @ScienceIsMetal is awesome

@JTFouquier Yup, I am a stubborn mule, so I changed labs from the frying pan into the fire - and stuck through it. BUT it cost me a lot in mental health and physical health + mucho PTSD - was it worth it? I don't know, but I did make that choice.
Masters is great! lots of places to go!

@DrSamiSchalk can also recommend ethiopian - it's fun to eat with your fingers and injera has such a distinct quality to it.
2nd the suggestion for Korean - my kiddo likes japchae noodles and the radish, and roots side dishes a lot.
dim sum is a super fun experience to go to
