My family surname was first recorded in the late 1100’s when the wealthy started using them.
My Great Grandfather fought in WW1.
My Grandfather was a pilot in WW2, he lost his 3 brothers in the war, I never knew them.
My Great Grandmother never recovered from the loss.
My Father was a pilot in the RAF for 20 years.
My mother was in the WRAF until she was pregnant with me.
My husband’s recent family history is similar to mine but has Scottish on his Mothers side.

We are not the face of Modern Britain to @Keir_Starmer or his government.
My children are not the face of Modern Britain, their safety and future is irrelevant to him.
My family history replaceable and erasable, our contribution deemed worthless.

I am at a complete loss for words to describe how I feel at this moment; to say I have never felt more betrayed in my life is an understatement.

If it wasn’t clear before that we need to #RestoreBritain, it certainly is now. We absolutely must make it happen.

It’s disappointing to see Broughton House… the former Batley and Birstall RAF Club on Cambridge Street, heading toward conversion into a mosque and Islamic school.

For decades this building served as a hub for RAF veterans and their families, a place tied to service, camaraderie, and remembrance.

Now, after the club closed due to mounting repair costs, plans have been submitted to repurpose it for an entirely different community use.

While change happens, it feels like another quiet erasure of local military heritage in favour of something that has little connection to the building’s original purpose or the people it once supported.

Kirklees council said the plan is acceptable in principle due to its straightforward nature.

But here… just read some of the objections I’ve been going through this morning. There are more objections than support in this application.

Jess Phillips has been utterly exposed as a fraud in this brutal Channel 4 interview.

The supposed champion for safeguarding women and girls just admitted she “absolutely understood” and “absolutely knew” that some r*p!sts, sex abusers and domestic abusers would walk free early under Labour’s scheme.

When pressed on why she and her party voted against the Conservative amendment to exclude these exact offenders from early release, her only defence? “There’s a prison crisis.”

Yes, Jess, there is but that’s no excuse for letting predators out sooner. The “safeguarding minister” shouldn’t be shrugging it off.

The interviewer confronted her with devastated victim statements. Phillips called the handling “appalling” and whined that some victims shouldn’t even be getting those letters. The interviewer fired back: “But that’s exactly what you voted for!”

Typical Jess Phillips: never taking responsibility. Just like when she blamed others in her party for “turning a blind eye” to grooming gangs (but never herself), or when she resigned from the Starmer government claiming she couldn’t get anything done only to throw him and the rest under the bus the moment it was politically convenient. It’s a clear pattern with her.

The same woman who was warned by the shadow justice minister that this would come back to haunt every single one of them. When the interviewer asked “does it haunt you now?”, Phillips coldly replied: “It doesn’t haunt me.”

Absolutely shameful, but entirely predictable from Jess Phillips.

Women and girls deserve so much better.

The clip has gone everywhere. Almost nobody has looked past it.

I did. I pulled the division lists from Parliament's own records and went back through legislation her own government passed in 2024. What I found dismantles every word of the defence she gave in that studio. She had a way to keep child rapists behind bars. It already existed. It had already worked. And I can prove she knew.
